Rita created Charms by Charlotte to bring the idea of a solid hair tie that could also be used as a fashionable bracelet to the US market. Inspired by high end fashion designer hair ties and small European boutique hair ties, Rita was encouraged by family and friends to introduce her own hair ties. Her daughter's middle name is Charlotte and Charms by Charlotte was created.  After a few trials and errors, the hair ties and charms not only looked stylish, but they also got raving reviews from everyone that tried and used them.
